Our Story

Ichor was built from the ground up by former collegiate athletes who recognized a need for integration of technology into athletic training and communication in order to help the next generation of athletes maximize their potential.

 

We are a company built by Athletes and Coaches, for Athletes and Coaches. We understand that with this lifestyle comes the pressure of time management. Our passion is giving coaches the tools they need to succeed in a way that that fits into their schedule.

 

We will continue to develop and expand our offering in order to keep coaches and teams on the forefront of technology in a simple and affordable manner. We have solutions for every team, at every level, on every budget. We look forward to working with the future athletes in our own backyard and around the world.

Ty walked onto the University of Georgia football team in 2008 and served as the long snapper from 2009-2012, starting 54 consecutive games – a UGA record. He was voted Team Captain as a senior and graduated magna cum laude in Biomedical Engineering in 2012. Ty went on to receive an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Georgia in 2014.

Nate finished up coaching football at UGA in 2015 after playing one year at Carson Newman College. He graduated with a Health and Physical Education degree and has experience educating people of every age on health and wellness. He also led high school students as a Young Life Leader throughout college and co-founded a fundraising company, called Dash, that teaches students about working hard and giving back.

Andrew was a defensive back at the University of Georgia from 2006-2009 and was a biomedical engineering major. After graduating cum laude, he enrolled in medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. Andrew then went on to receive an MBA from the University of Georgia in the spring of 2014.

Chip Standifer is an entrepreneurial executive with experience developing wireless, embedded, real-time and web projects. Experienced programmer capable of “filling the holes” in a wide variety of software and hardware development environments down to the device driver level.

Steve Bachman is a proven executive with extensive experience in sales, finance, and corporate operations at high growth product and services companies. Steve is founder and past President of the Wireless Technology Forum, past President of the Southeastern Software Association, and founder and past Director of the Technology Association of Georgia.

Grace is a 7 time All-American and 4 time National Champion from the University of Georgia. She was a finalist for “Woman of the Year” as a Senior. Before her days at UGA, Grace was the only South Carolina gymnast to ever win a Junior Olympic National title.

Ro came to the University of Georgia in 2011 from Marbella, Spain on a Golf Scholarship. During her time at UGA, Ro earned All-SEC honors, qualified individually for NCAAs, and posted a six under 66 in tournament play which is the 2nd best round in UGA history. Before coming to Georgia she won 6 Spanish National Championships – the most in Spanish History.
