No matter how well a team is organized, no one person can manage everything. Between strength coaches, nutrition coaches, position coaches, and more, a head coach has to put a great deal of trust into other coaches in order to have a winning team.
But even with a great coaching staff, there are internal factors that coaches simply can’t account for. For instance, maybe a key player hasn’t been getting enough sleep at night. Or maybe some of the players have been pushing themselves too hard on practices that are built for recovery, leaving them tired on game day.
